Market research in Vienna
The next detail output of the Shop of Region project was elaborated: the survey of consumers in the pilot region of Vienna regarding their interest in a shop selling regional products from Austria and Hungary (market research).
A total of 425 people from Vienna took part in the survey, of which, interestingly, 325 were women and 100 men - grocery shopping is apparently very much in female hands or women prefer to take part in a giveaways.
60% of the respondents said that they accept 10% higher prices than in the supermarket.
Almost 70% like to shop at the farm shop or farmers' market and for 97% Austrian food is important.
