By bike through the seewinkel - third edition of a popular event format

The cycle tour around Lake Neusiedl took place for the third time. The starting point this time was Frauenkirchen.

"Experiencing the region together in a climate-friendly way" was the goal on September 10, with the journey being the goal: Following on from the popularity of the cycling tours starting in Podersdorf in September 2021 and from Tadten in May 2022, a cross-border route starting from Frauenkirchen through the Neusiedler See – Seewinkel National Park, where a varied program awaited the participants. At the start, around 30 participants were greeted by a rich breakfast buffet with regional delicacies. Organizer KEM manager Robert Schitzhofer referred to the importance of climate-friendly mobility and sustainable use of resources for a region worth living in in the future.

At the other stations, representatives of the Neusiedler See - Seewinkel National Park and the FertÅ‘-Hanság Nemzeti Park reported on the unique nature of the region and the good cooperation between the two organizations. On the stages between the numerous program items, numerous participants also used the opportunity to discuss climate protection and mobility with the KEM model region manager Robert Schitzhofer and the experts from the Mobility Center Burgenland. Arriving back in Frauenkirchen, all participants received goody bags as a thank you from the Mobility Center Burgenland as part of the Low Carb Mobility project.
